My Review : The two Drake brothers are in hot water when they first meet their mates while in flagrante delicto. The brothers from the Queets pack are not amused. Xander catches his mate getting a lunch time blowjob from his girlfriend. Grayson catches his mate with a woman draped all over him coming from lunch. The boys are exceedingly dissapointed and hurt, seeing as how they’ve been dreaming about finding their mates for a long time.

Jagger and Taylor know that they have truly messed up and they need to fix things with Zander and Grayson. They take their mates out to dinner and shortly thereafter they go to Vegas for a business trip and a bit of pleasure. Oh what a pleasure it was 😊! These two sets of brothers were definitely hot with their respective partners. Jagger was overjoyed to find out that Zander was a virgin and he couldn’t keep his hands to himself. Grayson was hot to trot for Taylor, and they couldn’t seem to get enough of each other.

Things are settling in nicely for the couples when a can of worms open up. The Drake brothers come from a homophobic father who drilled into them how wrong it was to be gay. As much as they are happy to have their mates , they are still in the closet. This creates a minefield and a lot of hurt when Taylor denies that Grayson is his boyfriend at a business dinner. Same goes for Zander, when  Jagger refuses to come out and own their relationship.  The Quinton brothers leave in tears and they end up on a friend’s jet on their way to Arizona to visit with Riley and Mateo. 

Not wanting to lose their mates for good, Jagger and Taylor wrap up their business dealings and head out to get their mates back. They realize how much they miss  Zander and Grayson . They are welcomed with open arms and tears are shed by all. It all ends in a happily ever after for both couples.  We also get a chance to celebrate in the weddings of Sam & Dakota and Troy & Sawyer. This book was all about family and embracing the ones who love us unconditionally.  I give this my ratings of 4 – lose the underwear.

Sawyer has long held out hope of finding his mate and he has an idea who it might be. The day that Troy comes home, Sawyer is so excited he is unable to hold his human form. Troy is shocked to see a wolf at the meet and greet when he gets to the reservation.  He has no clue that he is actually looking at his mate. When he finally meets Sawyer the man, he sees a very strong willed, beautiful , abrasive young man who he ends up offending.

The attraction between the two is instant and soon they can’t keep their hands off each other. Shortly after making love, Sawyer shifts into his werewolf form by accident and this gets an unfavorable response from Troy. Sawyer feels as if his mate rejected him and it’s the worst kind of pain. Troy calms down after it is revealed that Sam, his best friend is also a werewolf. He apologizes to his mate and quickly gets into the swing of things finding himself falling hard for Sawyer.

My Review : Austin is caught between a rock and a hard place. His  beloved dog has been run over and he can’t bear to lose his only friend in the world. He is barely living from paycheck to paycheck.  Not knowing the young man’s situation, the sexy vet Lynton tells him something will work out.In an act of desperation,  he offers his body as payment for surgery for his beloved dog. As much as Lynton is interested,  he turns Austin down.

Austin leaves feeling dejected, worrying about what will happen to his dog. When he goes back to check on his dog the next day, Lynton tells him he’ll take him up on his offer. Austin is relieved that the dog will be taken care of, but deep down inside he feels dissapointed and a little bit cheap. On one hand he despises Lynton for taking what was so freely offered,  but he is  also secretly turned on. Lynton realizes that Austin’s perception of him has changed  for the worst, but it is hard for him to renege on their illicit bargain when he wants Austin almost desperately. They are off to a bad start, but luckily Rupert the dog keeps on bringing them together. It helps that they have great chemistry and they are very passionate when they are in bed together. Lynton realizes that he has fallen for Austin, he just hopes he can win him over. Austin is a little stubborn and extremely proud and it is hard for him to accept financial help from the richer , more stable Lynton. I say stop looking a gift horse in the mouth. I was finally happy that he got over his issues and moved in with Lynton who is more than capable of taking care of them.  This was short  and sweet with lots of hot sex. My Review : Denver and Adam’s relationship starts out hot and heavy from the beginning.  This is so weird and insanely hot, since they are strangers that meet for the first time in a laundromat. They are complete opposites and they complement each other perfectly.  Adam is a PhD student studying hawk moths, who has a severe case of OCD and panic attacks.  Denver is a gym junkie who is extremely ripped , works as a bouncer and has a learning disability.  One thing is for sure, Denver is the perfect Dom for Adams submissive nature.

Both these characters are very lovable and I can really feel the chemistry between them. This is the kind of dominant/submissive relationship I love to see. Their relationship shows the outside world and how it plays out, rather than being inundated  with aspects of the BDSM lifestyle that leaves me puzzled. Adam’s OCD plays a major role in who he is as a person and how he reacts to the environment and navigate relationships in his everyday life. His OCD  stems from spatial infringement, which causes him to have panic attacks if someone is in his private space or even public space for too long. It is hard for him to not categorize space according to where people belong. This made for a very interesting read as it led to the main characters having sex in some unusual and very public spaces which was highly entertaining and erotic.

Adam and Denver finds themselves in a relationship that they both need even though they hide their insecurities from each other. Adam is afraid to let Denver know about his OCD and Denver doesn’t  want to admit that his learning disabilities is holding him back. Adam gives Denver the freedom to be in charge through spankings and deep throat fucking which allows him to enter subspace and create a free zone from worries about pain  attacks and OCD. I really enjoyed watching Denver trying to cull Adam’s OCD with his dominant nature.

Once they were able to admit to each other  their deepest insecurities , they were able to navigate their relationship with fluidity. They developed a bond so strong that stood the test of time and was able to hold up under the pressures of their personalities.  I totally loved this book and I embraced their happily ever after right along side them. My Review : Well it turns out that Dakota the docile wolf from book 2 is actually a shape shifter. He is running for his life after being shot in the leg and collides into a moving car. Sam the driver of the car is alarmed that he has hit this poor animal. He is very wary approaching the animal, but he gets him in his truck and doctors him in his hotel room.  Sam really likes the company of the sweet little wolf and he takes care of it and feeds it steak. Dakota can’t believe how hot Sam is , but he is scared to show him his human side out of fear of being rejected.

When Sam goes out, Dakota follows him to a bar so he can meet him in his human form. Sam is instantly turned on by the sexy grey eyed young man  who he stops from being harassed by another guy. Sam is appalled that the young guy who calls himself ‘Darren’ seems not to have proper clothing or a place to stay.  Sam feels very protective towards the young man and offers him some money and rents a room for him to stay comfortably.  Dakota is so turned on  by Sam and he loves how sweet and considerate he is.

The truth about Dakota’s origins and his true nature is revealed to them when they meet up again and go home to Sam’s reservation. Sam’s parents and the reservation alpha welcome Dakota with open arms. This is almost overwhelming for him since he was kicked out by his own parents and pack for being gay. The alpha explains that Sam is Dakota’s mate and this makes sense given the strength of their bond and how much they have started relying on each other.  It is clear to see that they are each other’s strength. Carson tears Sam’s stomach with his sharp claws and Dakota has no other choice than to save his mate by turning him into a werewolf.  Dakota hates the circumstances but he can’t stand the thought of living a life without Sam. The change is hard on Sam and it takes him awhile to be comfortable with his wolf.  The measures that Dakota uses to help Sam shift is quite pleasurable . Sex cures all ailments and problems😉. 

 Many of Dakota’s pack become allies , because it is clear that quite a few of them have smelt their mates within Dakota’s new pack the Queets. I can’t wait to read about these pairings. I am really enjoying this series so far and this book has been my favorite so far.Well detailed  and very interesting.  I’m enjoying seeing these assassins pair up with the shifters. My Review : From the very first moment we met Josh in book 1, we could see that he was an easygoing fun loving character even though he is an assassin.  He is one of the sexy men from the Skull Blasters squad,  who are assassins for hire. They get rid of pedophiles,  drug kingpins and flesh peddlers. It’s on one of his assignments to take down a drug kingpin, where he first sees Mark, a kidnapped doctor being brutally raped by the druglord. Josh vows to get the sexy doctor out safely. He calls for back up from his team who does the extraction  and kills the druglord without any harm to their team. Josh stays by Mark’s side and takes him to their safe house. 

Josh is very confused by his growing feelings for the lovely doctor. For the first time in his life , he is attracted to a man and he is not exactly sure what to do about it. Although Mark is traumatized,  he is very attracted to Josh, but he is almost sure that a stud like that is straight. One good thing to come out of all of this is that Mark finds his long lost foster brother Mateo. Mark is all alone in the world since his parents disowned him for being gay. He is glad to have Mateo in his life again and he is truly happy to see him so in love with his husband Riley. 

Being in the safe house all alone, brings forth a connection between Mark and Josh that wouldn’t otherwise be present around others. My Review : Mateo Esposito is a sexy ass marksman for the A- team. He always acquires his target and he shoots to kill. He is on a special team with his friends hired by the government to take out lowlifes like rapists , pedophiles,  sex traffickers and all manner of evil. Mateo doesn’t have a steady home or boyfriend,  he prefers to take his comfort in whatever hookups he finds for the night. Mateo is very detailed and he always does his homework on his targets before killing them. He also follows his spider senses, that has saved his life a time or two.

When he gets the dossier on Riley Flynn,  the  young attractive CEO of an electronics company,  their is nothing outright that he can see that proclaims him as scum. Mateo follows Riley around and plants listening devices in his home and office and still can’t see anything wrong. He follows Riley to the back room of a gay bar and determines  that is one of his secrets. My Review : Kael is a very hard , ruthless man at first glance.  Well he would have to be in order to be an assassin for the the government.  He takes care of business in the blink of an eye. He is cold, dominant,  very chiseled, big and sexy with an air of danger.

He doesn’t have the time for a ‘boy’ , not in his line of work and he knows that he should definitely take care of collateral damage, but there is just something about Angel.

There is a naiveté and an almost childlike quality to Angel’s personality that can be off putting for some, but this actually drew me in . I really liked that about Angel, the juxtaposition between his silliness and Kael’s worldliness makes their relationship work beautifully. Despite the fact that Angel is submissive,  his yearning for a ‘daddy’  who loves him, causes him to test Kael’s patience. It is hard for Kael to assimilate Angel in his orderly life, because Angel being the 18yr old that he is, can be  messy at times. 

It’s quite obvious that Kael’s life is inundated with everything BDSM. He is a full time master who expects to be  obeyed at all times and in everything. He expects Angel to always address him as ‘Sir’. What Angel wants is for Kael to truly be his ‘daddy’, someone who can keep him safe, take care of him,make all decisions and love him unconditionally.  Angel wants to be the best slave for his ‘daddy’ and he tries to put his master’s needs before his own. 

Their relationship is totally focused on the BDSM element , rather than intimacy.  Their sex life is all about lots of pain, orgasm denial, rimming seat , hoods , floggers, cages, forceps and all other torture devices that you can think of. These are all part and parcel of their everyday lives. I didn’t really like this so much, but there is something interesting about this pairing that would make me go back and read the second book in this series.

When Angel overhears Kael telling his friend that Angel is just a temporary amusement,  he withdraws within himself. Kael misses Angel’s affectionate nature and his willfullness. He actually is a little dissapointed with Angel’s obedience. Angel decides to leave Kael and move on to some place where he will be wanted. He is kidnapped by enemies of Kael. Kael didn’t truly appreciate what he had until it was too late. Finally,  he was able to acknowledge to himself how much he truly loved Angel. He moved heaven and earth to get back his angel,  killing a few people along the way. Angel found his ‘daddy’ in Kael. I give this my ratings of 3 – give it a try.  It just might be for you.

My Review : It’s glaringly obvious that Luci is just a scared little boy. He tries to act tough, like he can take care of himself but it’s just a facade. Luci is found by Tooth the scary tough as nails vice president of the Coffin Nail biker club. Luci is hiding in the back of the club where he works as a stripper, when he meets the handsome, dangerously sexy biker. Luci is taken outside for questioning,  when the president of the club realizes that the male stripper Luci is in fact his illegitimate son. My heart goes out for poor Luci when his father just pawns him off to Tooth telling him to deal with him and keep him a secret so that his wife won’t find out.

Luci has been on his own for quite some time and he uses his sexuality as an armour to shield him from all the ugliness in the world. He is surrounded by a bunch of bikers for whom his sexuality might be a problem. He knows that the only thing stopping them from kicking his ass is because he is the president’s son and because he is under the protection of Tooth, a  man who is  known for  his  tooth taking abilities as a means of torture.  Luci tries to weasel his way out of his situation by offering Tooth his body. Tooth shows him right there and then , who is in charge giving him a spanking that was not geared for sexual pleasure. This awakens a certain longing in Luci and as much as he is embarrassed , he is also smitten by Tooth’s rough handling. Tooth does nothing to encourage Luci’s crush and he treats him more like a friend than anyone else at the compound.  

Tooth and Luci builds a friendship based on trust and rules   which enabled Tooth’s protection and Luci’s promise to not run away. This relationship builds slowly and borders on domesticity without being sexual, but there is an undercurrent of sensuality and an undefined instinctual deep-seated emotion between the two. Tooth is inherently violent because of circumstances that has shaped his life and worldview, but he is not cruel. Luci brings out a softness and a level of care that Tooth has never shown anyone else. Tooth realizes that he is having feelings for the much younger Luci, but he tries hard to suppress it even though Luci flirts at every given opportunity. Tooth becomes a disciplinarian, spanking Luci as punishment when he is bad. He doesn’t realize that Luci is almost in love with him and feels connected through this discipline, until he pushes Luci so far away that he is emotionally hurting. Tooth really hates that he hurt Luci emotionally and he sees that he can no longer deny his sexual feelings for the sexy little  submissive twink who is definitely his type. 

They both give in to their attraction and they start having sex, really hot sex 😉. Tooth is warm,  loving and playful with Luci,   they just need to keep their relationship a secret from everyone. This becomes really hard for Luci who is exuberant in his joy at finally getting the man who he is so in love with. Luci tells his brother that they are having a relationship and it almost causes a fight between the two club members.

When Tooth gets shot and Luci’s brother dies during club business, Luci’s stepmother blames him for her son’s death and convinces him to run away. Tooth is out of his mind when he wakes up in the hospital to news that Luci has run away. Luckily,  he had given Luci a necklace armed with a tracker. They traced Luci to a bus station where Tooth being overcome with emotion kissed Luci passionately in front of all the club members. Needless to say,  everyone is shocked and appalled.  Surprisingly, it goes not too bad since Tooth is a bad ass and can take on any member of the club in a fight. Luci and Tooth are able to show their love and affections openly and it is certainly a beautiful sight to see. I’m really in love with this series, the characters and plot are developed beautifully.  It is crude, raw and it creates a visceral reaction within me . I give this my ratings of 5 – bring out the vibrators. 

In too Deep by Kate Sherwood

Aiden manages to persuade Cade he’s a decent guy, and a tentative friendship becomes much more. But a trip to Aiden’s family cottage puts Cade in the path of a ghost from his past, and a dark secret he never expected to face again. Cade did what he had to do to escape his dead-end life, but now he sees he didn’t leave it as far behind him as he thought.

My Review :  Cade has one goal in his mind as a college student,  to do exceptionally well in school so that he can get a good job. He works hard,  studies every chance he gets and then some. He comes off as a bit stand-offish and antisocial to people around him, but he could care less.  Circumstances in his life has made him this way, and he is just trying to make a headway in life where he won’t have to sell his body anymore. His parents are both alcoholics whose only care is where they can find their next bottle.

  Aiden is very rich, very handsome, very sociable and very priveleged. He is very interested in getting to know Cade better, but Cade refuses to give him the time of day. Aiden pursues him every chance he has, by going to the cafeteria where Cade works.  Aiden was persistent to the point of being desperate. It was a little bit sweet , but it was disturbing as hell. How many times can you be rebuffed by a crush before you finally take the hint? Aiden seemed like a bit of a spoiled brat for not taking no for an answer while Cade seemed a bit mean for not giving the poor guy a chance. It was clear that he liked Aiden and I just believed that he was way too rigid in his resolve at not even trying to be friends with Aiden.  No man is an island and no matter how proud we try to be , we all need friends at some point in our lives. I definitely take off a point here for Cade’s attitude.

Personally,  I think the book went downhill from here. Reason being, after being told no for the  umpteenth time, I guess Aiden finally got the picture and left Cade alone. He moved on with his life , moping around his frat until Cade came to a party seeking Aiden out. In true Cade fashion he told Aiden quite sullen that he messed up on his exam by getting a B, because he couldn’t get Aiden off his mind. Aiden being the desperate one, falls in his arms and their relationship as boyfriends starts slowly. The sex between them was great , but for some reason I just couldn’t feel the chemistry between the two. I really couldn’t gain any respect for any of these two main characters. I am usually the one to champion the underdog ,but I must say I really didn’t feel as if Cade deserved this. 

It all comes out that Cade was a former prostitute and that’s what he did to pay for his first year’s tuition. I have tons of empathy for flawed characters and I usually end up crying with them and rejoicing with them when they find their true love. That was not the case here. I hated  Cade’s pious attitude and how he constantly pushed Aiden away acting as if he had done something wrong just because he was rich. I really don’t think he was justified in treating Aiden that way. On the other hand Aiden was a little too perfect and understanding,  almost groveling for any affection that Cade decided to give him. His character came off as being too fake. This whole relationship  left a bad taste in my mouth of being unequal in every way, financially and especially emotionally. In the end their problems were resolved so easily and superficially in my opinion. This one was truly a hit and miss for me, there was just something missing. I give this my ratings of 3 – give it a try. It was ok, I guess I just expected a little more out of these characters.  The premise was there for a great story, it just fell short in my opinion.
