Rocket Science by K.M. Neuhold

Title: Rocket Science Word Count:
Genre: Contemporary Gay Romance

Blurb:Relationships aren’t rocket science. If they were, I might stand a chance of figuring one out.

Elijah
Saying I’ve had a crush on my best friend’s older brother, Pax, most of my life is like saying the big bang was just an explosion. It’s true, but I’m not sure that quite captures the essence of its true enormity.

I know he’s only hanging out with me because I’m new in town and getting my PhD doesn’t leave me with much time to make friends. And even if it did, my strength is mathematics, not friend-making. What I don’t understand is why he kissed me… why he seems to want to keep kissing me. I don’t think my advanced physics knowledge is going to help me figure this one out. But I think for once I’m okay with not knowing, as long as Pax and I don’t know together.

Pax
He’s still the awkward Nerdlet I remember…he’s also probably the cutest, most tempting man I’ve laid eyes on. I know I should keep my hands off him, but this thing between us is like a force of nature. I want to be his first everything. He says we’re nothing more than atoms crashing into each other. I’m no scientist but I don’t think either of us are braced for the explosion.

**** Rocket Science is a stand-alone MM romance featuring an inexperienced nerd, a cocky player, and a satisfying HEA

My Review: Rocket scientist in training Elijah just moved to California to do his PhD at the university of Caltech. He is very introverted and gets really anxious in social situations. This is the first time going to school without his best friend and protector Theo by his side. Theo has enlisted the help of his hunky brother Pax to show Elijah around. Remembering the quirky little nerd he always thought was funny as a kid, pushes Pax to agree. He sets up a night out with Elijah. He is totally surprised when the adorkable guy who just walked in is none other than his brother’s childhood friend. Elijah can’t believe the guy who he had a crush on in his teens could possibly get any hotter. Damn was he wrong, Pax is hotter than ever showing off his tatted up arms under his dress shirts.

They get along great after Pax plies Elijah with some alcohol which certainly loosens him up. They banter about Star Wars causing Pax to reminisce about his hidden geeky side. He thoroughly enjoyed himself and decides to bring over hangover breakfast for Elijah. This is the beginning of something fresh and new for both of them. Both find themselves enjoying their renewed friendship. It doesn’t take long for Pax to make the first move with an exploratory kiss. This opens the door for Elijah who attacks with a voracious appetite. Having never been kissed before causes Elijah to be a mixture of innocence and heat all rolled in one. This is an intense pull for Pax and before they know it, they culminate in a hot frottage session. By the time they finish and Elijah is fast asleep, Pax already knows he’s made a mistake.

Based on prior experience Pax knows he isn’t boyfriend material. He knows someone as innocent as Elijah deserves so much more than him. Pax breaks it down gently, but Elijah is definitely hurt. His insecurities make him feel at fault. Things become strained between them. Surprisingly, it’s Pax who breaks the ice when he can’t seem to stay away from Elijah. They fall into a no strings attached arrangement that works for both of them. Everything is fun and exciting for both men. Pax sees a new side to hooking up and starts feeling emotions he’s never felt before. Their arrangement sees them through Thanksgiving and Christmas. Pax knows for sure that he has fallen in love with his ‘Nerdlet’.After one of their intense lovemaking sessions that’s always earth-shattering, Pax makes a declaration.
Not knowing how to respond, Elijah pretends to be asleep.

Pax’ vulnerability shines clear through when he goes to see Elijah after ghosting him for a week. He gets straight to the point confessing to Elijah that he would make a horrible boyfriend. Already forewarned with advice from his friend Alex, Elijah has made up his mind to be vulnerable with Pax and not let him go. After telling Pax how much he is in love with him, they get down and dirty to have some hot makeup sex. They both realize they are ready to traverse the tides of a relationship together. The love that they feel for each other is out of this world. Pax asks Elijah to move in with him right away. Four years down the road finds him getting down on one knee asking his shy Nerdlet to marry him. I loved, loved, loved this one. I give this my ratings of 5 – bring out the vibrators.

Second Wind by Aimee Nicole Walker

Title: Second Wind Word Count:236 pgs
Genre: Contemporary Gay Romance

Blurb:Second wind: a new strength or energy to continue something that is an effort. After an amicable divorce, Lincoln Huxley is ready to embrace the sexuality he repressed for more than two decades. Rush Holden is no longer willing to settle for closeted men or those who don’t share his dreams of marriage and fatherhood. A chance encounter on a lakeside pier is the second wind they both need. Or will it just be a painful reminder of all they had lost?

Second chance: an opportunity to try something again that failed one time. Rush and Lincoln have shared a lot of firsts—friendship, young love, and heartbreak. Cruel reality forced the two men to choose paths that took their lives in different directions. Twenty-six years later, they get a second chance to fall in love with each all over again. Can it really be that simple, or will the same issues ruin their happiness a second time?

Happily ever after: to live happily for the rest of one’s life. Rush and Lincoln know that love and life can’t be defined by words alone. Patience, commitment, and the determination to do whatever it takes will be the only way the two men achieve their happily ever after.

Second Wind is a funny, sexy, and endearing standalone romance novel about love, loss, and rediscovery. It contains sexually explicit material and is intended for adults 18 and older.

My Review: This story has been told many times before, but this one really hit me in the ‘feels’ from the very beginning. We are introduced to two young boys who are inseparable from a very early age. They champion each other on the playground and make grand plans of what they want to be in the future. They start feeling the tingles during their preteen years, not really sure what it means. By the time they hit the teen years Rush Holden has pretty much figured out what it means for him. Rush Holden knows he’s totally and irrevocably in love with his best friend Lincoln Huxley. Linc has the same feelings but fear has him resisting the urge and he pulls away from Rush. Linc the jock is certainly afraid of the stigma that comes with liking a boy. He knows it hurts Rush , but he just can’t topple the social hierarchy of which he’s been made the king. Rush stays in the shadows alone with his camera, with only his passion of photography keeping him sane.

A glimmer of hope appears when Rush had to help tutor Linc for his classes. They regain some of their closeness, but their true relationship remains a secret. They share secret kisses and explore the physical side of their relationship with a few stolen moments. These special moments have been indelibly imprinted in both their minds. Rush and Linc lock these treasured moments in a vault that’s kept safely in their hearts. They part ways at the end of high school. On prom night, Rush and Linc enjoy one final heartbreaking dance in the confines of a photographer’s dark room. All their dreams for the future are left in the dark.

Fast forward 20 yrs in the future, here we have Rush stuck in a relationship that seems to go nowhere. It is clear to see that he has been shaped by his past. He’s with a man who doesn’t value him, he forgets their anniversary and tries to turn it around by blaming Rush. Everyone around him knows that Rush deserves better. When he finally gets a proposal Rush is ecstatic, but their is an underlying sadness he knows should not be there. On the morning of the wedding Rush is left standing at the altar, he’s devastated but sadly not overly surprised. His family and friends help him to pick up the pieces of his life.

In the meantime, somewhere in another place Lincoln is also picking up the pieces of his life. Becoming empty nesters has forced Linc’s wife to ask for a divorce. She knows that even though their life has been good, they are more best friends than lovers. They come to a mutually amicable agreement without any drama. For the first time in over 20 years, Linc admits to being gay.Linc cries in his ex wife’s arms for the love of the boy he lost. It is wonderful seeing the support that the ex couple give to each other for the sake of love.

It was certainly inevitable that these star crossed lovers would meet again. This becomes true when Linc goes to Chicago to reveal to his kids, his deepest darkest secret. Linc can’t believe his luck when he runs into the love that he thought he had lost. Their reunion is a joyous affair where everything fades in the background. Their passion is combustible and Rush and Linc realize that nothing has changed in the twenty years they have been apart. What they feel for each other is even more concentrated and pervasive than the puppy love that they felt in their teens.

They spend a blissful week together, making up for lost time, exploring each other’s bodies. They experience a brand new range of emotions like never before. After coming out to his children Linc decides to introduce the love of his life.Rush gets a warm reception from Linc’s kids who are grateful to the man that’s made their dad so happy. However, all good things must come to an end or just a pause.

In their case, they’ve both decided to pursue a long distance relationship for the time being. They do this for a few months with both of them visiting each other for a week here and there. Linc and Rush experience the glorious wonder of the internet, using Skype which affords them the opportunity for some kinky sexy fun. In the end, Linc makes a grand gesture by uprooting himself and moving in with Rush. They are both ecstatic to finally be together, enjoying all the little nuances of everyday life. It doesn’t take them long to take the plunge into married bliss. They decide to complete their family by adopting a beautiful baby girl. All their dreams are finally coming true. This is a love that was carved out throughout space and time for only these two incredible souls. I give this my ratings of 5- bring out the vibrators. This one is truly hottt!!!

P.S. This story has a bomb playlist. Each chapter is associated with the most perfect song. This definitely added to the feelings of the character in my opinion. Check it out.

Firm Hand( Perfect Hands 1) by Nora Phoenix

Title: Firm Hand Word Count: 312 pgs
Genre: Contemporary Gay Romance

Blurb:How can he want to call his best friend’s son Sir? Or even worse…Daddy?

Cornell is broken after losing his best friend Jonas and getting hurt himself. He’s too old, too imperfect to ever attract a Dom again.

Until Rhys.

When Rhys gives him commands, Cornell yearns to obey.
When Rhys takes care of him, Cornell wants to kneel for him.
When Rhys is everything he’s dreamed of, Cornell aches to call him Sir.
And when Rhys makes him fly, Cornell soars higher than ever before.

But there’s one problem. Rhys is twenty years his junior…and he’s Jonas’s son. How can you want to call your best friend’s son Sir…or Daddy?

Firm Hand is a standalone slow burn MM romance with daddy kink, an age gap, a very caring Daddy and a boy who needs it, hurt/comfort, mild D/s play, and all the feels.

My Review: Our lives can be irrevocably changed in the blink of an eye. Nobody knows this better than Cornell, who loses his best friend Jonas in an accident on their way home from a club. It can be hard losing one’s best friend, but for Cornell it’s a bit different. Not only was Jonas his best friend, but on some intrinsic level he was Cornell’s soulmate. It wasn’t necessarily sexual, even though they were both submissives who played alongside each other for years. They enjoyed the comfort of each other’s touch whenever they both found themselves without Doms. Cornell and Jonas knew everything about each other. He lost a piece of his soul the night of the accident.

Rhys, Jonas’ son suggests that Cornell moves in with him after the accident. Unfortunately, Cornell did not escape the accident unscathed. The range of motion in his legs and back muscles is severely limited. Rhys has his degree in kinesiology and knows a lot about physical therapy. He’s decided to take care of Cornell. For Rhys, this is a dream come true. He has always known that Cornell is submissive and he’s had a serious crush on the man who is 20 yrs his senior. There is just one problem, Cornell has no idea that Rhys is a Dom. Rhys knows he is skirting the line of consent and knows he needs to come clean before it’s too late.

Things are revealed when Cornell unintentionally overheard a phone conversation between Rhys and his mentor Master Ford. Cornell is flummoxed and hurt when he feels like he’s been manipulated. Rhys has been quietly ‘Domming’ him, using a bit of control in his voice and rewards as a way to help Cornell recover. Cornell feels betrayed and is not sure how to respond to Rhys who he has known since he was born. Cornell’s submissive body has been responding physically to Rhys’ without him really understanding why. Rhys, in his defense didn’t think that Cornell would take a ‘baby Dom’ seriously. Cornell slowly starts to forgive Rhys when he thinks of the insecurities about himself being a 45 yr old sub. In his mind, his identity as a sub has been tied up with his age. He feels the double standards in the BDSM community, because there is hardly any Doms who are willing to play with a sub whose age is so advanced.

Something is unlocked during their physical therapy session which Rhys leads with a massage. This comes after a frank conversation where Rhys points out to Cornell that he might be into sensory play. He’s made this deduction from the way Cornell’s body reacts to his touch. This massage ends in a very happy ending for Cornell. For Rhys, it is so much more, as throughout he gains the honorific of Sir from Cornell’s lips. To him, Cornell is so beautiful in the way he begs for his pleasure. Rhys knows this is a stepping stone and by no means has the war been won. This becomes obvious in the way that Cornell retreats within himself once their scene is done.

Cornell is conflicted about a few things concerning Rhys. The first and foremost is the 20 year age gap between them. The second and third is tied up together, he questions if it’s morally wrong since he’s known Rhys since birth and also the fact that he is Jonas’ son , his best friend who he occasionally had sex with during a scene when they played with the same Dom. It’s in that moment he misses Jonas the most, a man that had been his sounding board for so many years. This takes him down memory lane and he remembers something crucial. They both believed in the premise that there was no shame in any kink or fetish, once it was between two consenting adults. In that moment, he knows that Jonas would definitely approve even if he needed time to acclimate to the idea. He also puts in a call to Rhys’ mentor Master Ford who gives a glowing recommendation that Rhys is a great Dom. This solidifies his decision to pursue something with Rhys. Rhys is overjoyed that Cornell is willing to finally give him a chance.

Rhys sets up the perfect sensory scene for Cornell. However, before they can even get started, something goes horribly wrong. Cornell can’t pinpoint the exact problem, he just knows he feels like a failure as a sub. He has an emotional meltdown, leaving Rhys feeling out of his element. Rhys is caught off guard, but after talking to Master Ford, they both surmise that Cornell’s reaction is more about grief at losing so much in such a short time, especially losing his best friend. Rhys sets up a dinner date with his best friend who is a Little and his Daddy Dom. It starts off okay and Cornell feels energized being around likeminded people. It is amazing watching Rhys’ friend Raf delving into his Little persona. He takes a keen interest in the care that Rhys affords his friend. However, watching their friendship facilitates the dam being broken. He misses his own best friend Jonas in that moment so much. Rhys holds him in his arms while he totally falls apart, weeping at how isolated and alone he feels.

Their next scene together is a spanking that is so pleasurable for Cornell that it leaves him in subspace for awhile. He is so blissed out and clings to his Dom and soaks up all his sweet words and praises. Rhys is so proud, but he is also worried as his time draws near for him to go back to work. Cornell gains greater respect for Rhys when his Dom recognizes him experiencing a subdrop and takes great care of him. Cornell knows for sure he has fallen in love with Rhys. This is soon put to the test when they get a visit from Rhys’ mother. She’s very confrontational and expresses her disapproval about their relationship. She openly berates Cornell and Rhys stands up for his boy. He is very firm with her, letting her know that her disrespect will not be tolerated. Rhys is concerned about Cornell’s state of mind, but he finds Cornell glowing with happiness. With him standing up for Cornell, Cornell has found the strength to believe in the relationship that they are building. He now knows what he needs to do.

There are lots of decisions to be made, but the couple find it easier now that they are together. As soon as Rhys goes back to work, he knows it’s no longer an ideal situation for the life he wishes to build with Cornell. He misses his sweet boy too much when he’s at work so he decides to quit his job. He already has plans to open up a rehabilitation studio, his timeline is now moved up sooner. Cornell is very happy when Rhys includes him in his plans. He freely expresses his intentions of not going back to work himself, since he is no longer happy there. Rhys is totally on board with that as he sees the weight lifted off his shoulders. It was a great experience watching this unconventional relationship finding a stronghold. Their love story was refreshing and watching them finding love in a relationship that defies standard parameters was a joy. I give this my ratings of 4-lose the underwear.

Pixie ( Ballsy Boys 5) by K M Neuhold & Nora Phoenix

Title: Pixie Word Count: 264 pgs
Genre: Contemporary Gay Romance

Blurb: Everybody loves Pixie.
Everybody wants Pixie.
But Pixie needs a Daddy, and his heart is set on me.

I’m determined to resist him, for more reasons than I can count.

He’s too young for me. He’s my employee. And he’s everything I’ve been avoiding for half my life.

He’s vibrant. He’s sweet. He’s absolutely perfect, no matter how much I don’t want him to be.

I want nothing more than to take care of him, to protect him and pamper him…but how can I start something with him when I know I’ll eventually break his heart? Can I really be the Daddy Pixie needs?

**Pixie is the fifth and last book in the Ballsy Boys Production series. It can be read as a stand-alone, but it’s more fun reading the series in order.

My Review: Pixie and Bear have been playing this cat and mouse game for far too long, things are about to get real interesting. Pixie is the lovable twinky imp that everybody wants to bubble wrap and protect. He is definitely a fan favorite of the Ballsy Boys. He portrays this innocence on camera that irregardless of him being a porn star comes through as genuine. Pixie just sparkles, he makes everyone think of stardust and unicorns. He is always happy and definitely has an eye for fashion. Pixie also has a hair- trigger when it comes to shopping. He loves the finer things in life and he wishes he had a daddy to take care of him. Pixie knows what he wants and he is certainly suited to a daddy/boy dynamic. From the moment he laid eyes on his boss, his heart is set on Bear being the perfect daddy for him.

From the first moment Bear laid eyes on the sweetest little imp, he knew he was in trouble. He knew that Pixie would be the perfect addition to the Ballsy Boys family. He resists the attraction that he feels for Pixie and stomps down on the wave of protective instincts that pull at him. He has a problem with their 20 year age gap and uses it as a shield to build up the walls around his heart. This doesn’t stop him from getting extremely turned on when he watches scenes that Pixie films. To him , this borders on being unprofessional, but Pixie is his secret obsession. For all that he is worth, he resists his attraction vociferously, but that all comes crashing down when they end up rooming together for a night when they go on a work trip. It was inevitable, Bear could no longer resist the forbidden feelings. Finally, being with his boy just gave him a taste of the happiness that he could have. It was such a memorable night that imprinted on both their brains.

Pixie is even more sure that Bear is the perfect daddy, but for Bear it is a mistake. One he knew , he could never allow to happen again without irrevocably damaging his heart. He rejects Pixie hard and the sweet young man endures a secret pain that he can’t share with anyone. Pixie spirals out of control with his spending habits , racking up credit card debt, basically shopping his feelings away. Soon, he becomes overwhelmed with living in LA.After having more than one late rent payment, he gets evicted. The only person he can think to turn to is Rebel. Rebel calls in the troupe to help Pixie out, the Ballsy Boys family is just what Pixie needs to soothe his sorrow for a bit. However, he begs them not to tell Bear. It isn’t long before Bear suspects that something is terribly wrong . He knows the boys are hiding something, Rebel cracks under the pressure and reveals Pixie’s problems.

Bear steps in and takes charge, informing Pixie that he will move in with him. Pixie is happy , but Bear makes it known that nothing has changed between them. He is just helping the boy get back on his feet. Being in such close quarters with Bear allows Pixie a look into the life of the man he wants more than anything. Like most people, Bear has certainly been shaped by his past. He is a former porn star who has managed to create the successful studio for Ballsy Boys. Bear has been around for a long time and he’s had his fair amount of trials and tribulations. He has been devastated and has lost quite a few loved ones during the AIDS epidemic. He’s seen first hand the persecution that gay men faced back in those days. It has made him stronger and smarter, especially with regards to how he runs his condom only porn sets. Safe sex practices is imperative for him. Bear lost the love of his life to AIDS and made the dying declaration to always help other gay men living with AIDS. Due to this promise, he has closed himself off to love and intimate entanglements.

Bear has volunteered at an AIDS shelter for most of his life. This is his way to give back to the community and keep his promise alive. This is where he meets Travis who is dying from AIDS. An unshakeable bond and an unlikely friendship forms between the two men. In a way, both have experienced unrequited love. Travis has been in love with his straight best friend for years, while Bear quietly pines for Pixie. Their conversations is a soothing balm on both their souls. Bear is devastated when the inevitable happens and Travis dies.Travis’ letter comes when his will is settled. He gets straight to the point, letting Bear know how grateful he was for his friendship. He finagles a dying wish from Bear as well, that he will live life to the fullest with his sweet boy Pixie by his side. The letter is very emotional for Bear causing him to fall apart in Pixie’s sweet loving arms. This is just what he needs, after so many years of bottling up his feelings, it is cathartic. It certainly puts things in perspective for Bear.

Once again another Ballsy Boy video breaks the internet. Bear has a business venture with a friend who plans on opening a porn studio that features all types of daddy kink. For their debut , they decide that a video with Bear and Pixie would showcase the daddy/ boy kink to perfection. Hot damn, their set is perfect. Pixie looks at his daddy with stars in his eyes and gets so hot when his daddy gives him an almost orgasmic spanking. Daddy Bear gives Pixie the full attention that his boy craves. Their scene is open and trusting for the whole world to see just how precious the daddy/boy dynamic can be.

This series ends perfectly with Campy and Jackson’s beautiful wedding. All the Ballsy Boys secrets are finally revealed. Troy has proposed to Rebel, he’s certainly gotten over his fear of commitment. Tank and Brewer quietly tied the knot in Vegas.Love shines sweet and clear with the triad that unites Heart, Mason and Lucky. Not to be outdone, Bear drops to one knee and bestows the most beautiful diamond ring befitting the sparkly imp Pixie. Cheers all around, I loved this series. I give this my ratings of 4 -lose the underwear.

Heart ( Ballsy Boys 3) by K. M. Neuhold & Nora Phoenix

Title: Heart Word Count: 376 pgs
Genre: Contemporary Gay Romance

Blurb:How does a guy who vowed not to trust another man ever again end up falling for not one, but two men?

Some people might look down on being an adult star, but this job has been my salvation. It’s the only one that didn’t turn me away when learning about my criminal record.

After being screwed over by my ex, I vowed to never let another man close, but when my sweet, nerdy friend Mason asks for my help improving his skills in the bedroom, I can’t resist.

And then there’s my gorgeous yet grumpy parole officer who has made it his mission to save me. They both seem determined to test my resolve, and it’s getting harder and harder to remind myself why it’s so dangerous to trust.

** Heart is an MMM romance and the third book in the sexy, emotional Ballsy Boys series. It can be read as a stand-alone, but it’s more fun reading the series in order. Contains one dorky nerd, a sexy parole officer, and a man who learns he’s worthy to be loved.

My Review: Heart is one of Ballsy Boys newest porn stars. Everyone sees this sexy tatted up bad boy and there is definitely a mysterious air around him. After being introduced to the sweet nerdy Mason, they have been hanging out together. Heart really likes to chill out with Mason, playing video games and just relaxing. It also helps that he finds Mason’s clumsiness kind of adorkable.

Mason is the nerdy best friend of Troy we met in book 1. Mason is shy, almost socially awkward, but he is oh so cute . He certainly pulls at our heart strings and we can certainly see why Troy, Rebel and Heart would feel protective towards him. Troy has suggested that Mason should hook up with Heart so he can gain back some of his confidence. Mason recently got out of a really bad relationship, his ex boyfriend Brad was mean, very critical of sweet Mason and very demeaning. Mason’s self esteem has definitely plummeted since he dated Brad. Even though they are finished, whenever memories of Brad pops up, Mason literally deflates. Troy and Rebel hijack Mason for a night out on the town in hopes that he will get back on the horse.

It becomes clear that Mason is out of his element. When a deep voiced sexy stranger says hello, he literally drops his drink out of shock. He is surprised when the guy introduces himself and seems interested in sticking around to talk about video games.Lucky goes for guys who are a bit shy and he really likes Mason and asks for his number. It is unfortunate that a work emergency comes up, but he knows he will try again with this sweet young thing.

When Lucky finally gets a chance to go on a date with Mason, it goes pretty well. They talk more about themselves and Lucky mentions that he is a former marine turned parole officer. The fact that Mason doesn’t freak out about his profession is a good sign for him. The date ends off with a sweet goodnight kiss and Mason who is nervous about his skills, feels like he has made a good impression. Mason knows for sure Heart would be proud of him. Heart has been giving him lessons on all things carnal so that Mason can get over his awkwardness of physical interactions. When he tells Heart about his date, he is excited that Mason is getting out there and getting more confident. However, there is a small twinge in his heart that nobody will ever want to date him given his past.

Heart has a complicated past. He is on parole after doing his time in prison for a crime he didn’t commit. Unbeknownst to him, his parole officer Lucky is the new guy that Mason is dating. There has always been a bit of sexual tension around Heart and Lucky. Straight -laced Lucky knows there is no way that he can get involved with a client. However , this doesn’t stem his overprotective feelings or make him care less. Heart doesn’t understand any other feelings outside of sex. He has always used his body or been used. He feels as if Lucky is always on his case just waiting for him to screw up. Although he feels a little bit attracted to the sexy parole officer, he hides behind a veneer of defiance.

It’s purely by accident that Lucky and Heart realize there is a common element between them. When Mason shows up unannounced, they are all shocked that they know each other. Looking at his two sexy men, bring forth Mason’s insecurities. He sees the sexual tension around these two and it makes him question why they would want a clumsy nerd around. He suggests that they should try to be together without him.

It is extremely interesting watching them navigate this newly formed triad which they’ve eventually settled on. Heart is complex because even though he is a confident porn star, he is also a young man who has been severely hurt and betrayed causing him to pay the ultimate sacrifice with his freedom. His self worth is fractured and it takes both his men to help pick up the pieces. Lucky comes up with the ingenious idea of taking sex out of their twosome for two months, so that they can foster a more meaningful relationship. That doesn’t mean all sexy times are out of the picture. It makes for a few very creative situations that become very explosive with Mason being in the middle. Mason grows with each of his experience with his two lovers and it’s beautiful watching this overly self conscious man blossom into a sexy butterfly. Lucky grows with his two men as well. From them, he learns how to be a little bit more laid back and to live in the moment. He learns how to appreciate the gray areas of life, whereas before he thought everything was black and white.

Their intricate relationship flourishes into a solid foundation. Heart is ready to acknowledge that they have something special and he decides to give love a chance. Lucky supports both his men, watching Mason achieve his dreams with his video game design and making it into a successful career. Lucky is able to get Heart’s criminal conviction expunged after discovering that Heart had been set up. Mason is the glue that holds it all together, he completes them. His innocence and pureness of heart, makes Heart and Lucky want to be the best partner for him. Their passion for each other was out of this world, causing many moments of spontaneous combustion. I give this my ratings of 4 – lose the underwear.

Tank ( Ballsy Boys 2) by K.M. Neuhold & Nora Phoenix

Title: Tank Word Count: 306 pgs
Genre: Contemporary Gay Romance

Blurb: A fake relationship with the guy I hate more than anything. Kill me now.

Shallow pretty boy, conceited fuckboy, immature assclown. Take your pick, they all apply to Brewer. The world is his ass buffet, and we’re all on the menu.

I’ve never hated anyone like I hate Brewer. But when Rebel pairs us to do a scene together, I have to admit I’m looking forward to taking all my irritation out on his…well, you get the picture. When one scene turns into a whole fake relationship, I’m not sure we’re going to make it out of this without some bloodshed.

But then something weird happens. The more time we spend together, the more I see a different side of him…and dare to show a different side of me. What the hell is happening?

** Tank is the second book in the sexy, emotional Ballsy Boys series. It can be read as a stand-alone, but it’s more fun reading the series in order. Expect plenty of laughs, a whole lotta steam, and all the feels as you get to know these Ballsy Boys.

My Review: It is certainly true that there is a thin line between love and hate. Porn star Tank, Ballsy Boys illustrious ‘top’ hates Brewer with a passion. All he sees when he looks at Brewer is a carefree playboy who believes that the male specimen is his personal buffet. There is a perpetual smile always on Brewer’s face, he is a veritable class clown and he lives to annoy Tank. In all their years working together , the boss man Bear has never put them in a sex scene before. It isn’t until Rebel(former porn star now turned assistant director)decides to shake things up that things get real interesting.

The two porn stars balk at the idea of doing a scene together, but they both need the money too much to turn down the gig. Their sex scene literally breaks the internet with how explosive the action gets. Tank ‘tops’ Brewer with all he’s got and Brewer takes it like a champ. To them , its just them doing their jobs, but everyone around them sees the chemistry that cannot be denied. They are so sexy together and the directors decide to capitalize on their success by turning it into a series. They are now slated to do 10 more movies which will force them to be continually in close quarters.

Working together has not necessarily made them closer, but what it’s done is allow a glimpse into each other’s lives. They are both extremely private, outside of them working together they know absolutely nothing about each other, not even their real names. They are both extremely shocked when they end up in an English Lit class at their college. Tank certainly has to revise the airhead playboy image that he has of Brewer who he now knows as Micah , doctor in training. Brewer didn’t think that Tank was dumb, but he would have never thought that behind all that brute strength was an architectural genius named Peter. They decide to pair up on a class project and this gives them even more access to their personal space. They start hanging out, eating meals together and enjoying each other’s company watching old movies.

It isn’t until after awhile that they even realize they have formed a tentative friendship and that they no longer hate each other. When their producers suggest that they engage in a fake relationship for more ratings and more money, it isn’t the hardship that it would have been prior.Tank lets Brewer know that they have to be mutually exclusive for their farce to work. Their fake relationship segues into a real relationship without them even noticing.

Micah opens up to Peter about his childhood trauma of losing his twin. Peter heart twinges when Micah suggests that the wrong twin died. This internalized behaviour stems from how his parents always made him feel for living when his other half was dead. Tank knows that Brewer feels vulnerable, but he gives him comfort in his big sturdy arms. Tank realises that his feelings are not one-sided when Brewer makes his birthday special. Its the first time anyone has made him feel special. His insecurities peek through and Brewer is the only one that’s ever seen him as more than a big brute of a man.

Peter doesn’t hesitate to open up his home to Micah when his roommate kicks him out. Their relationship is still not defined, but there are certain nuances that are painting a clear picture. Tank has made himself Brewer’s self-appointed caretaker. He finds simple pleasure in making sure he eats properly and gets enough sleep in between bouts of sweaty man sex. They continue to grow together in real life and on set. Brewer tackles Tank’s vulnerability at bottoming. He makes it spectacular for his big grizzly bear. There isn’t a part of Tank’s body that wasn’t loved on. It is obvious that Brewer is well acquainted with physical love. However, he could have been knocked over by a feather when he realizes that he has fallen for Tank. Micah is so in love with the sweet Teddy bear that is Peter.Nevertheless, he is also very afraid of this emotion. After suffering from unrequited love all his life, hopelessly waiting for his parents to love him, Micah decides that Peter has to make the first move.

It all comes down to the last mini movie in the series. They have to make some sort of declaration and it just flows naturally. Their words are geared to the movie , but it’s also fitting for their roles in real life and they both understand that this is raw and truly authentic. Their lovemaking is slow and tender bringing forth all their pent up emotions. They forget about the cameras and just focus on each other. They are explosive together. After the scene finishes and they move on with their regular life, Peter knows he needs to do a grand gesture. Micah deserves the words and the world is his platform as he turns to his Instagram to lay it all on the line. Peter’s declaration of love is well received by Micah and returned tenfold. Their final act is to open up to the Ballsy Boys family, allowing them to meet the true personas behind the facade. Ballsy Boys have quite a few secrets we can’t wait to uncover and explore. I’m definitely looking forward to the next installment. I give this my ratings of 4- lose the underwear.

Rebel ( Ballsy Boys 1) by K. M. Neuhold & Nora Phoenix

Title: Rebel Word Count:248 pgs
Genre: Contemporary Gay Romance

Blurb:”I don’t do relationships, I break them.” ~ Troy

If there’s one thing life has taught me it’s that everyone eventually leaves. But that’s okay because I have a strategy: no friends, no boyfriends, limit repeat hook-ups, no sleep overs, and above all leave them before they leave me. I’ve put my break-up skills to work doing others’ dirty work for them.
The last thing I expected when I agreed to do an embarrassing breakup song and dance was to end up on the doorstep of the very recognizable—and stupidly sexy—Rebel. When you meet a man like Rebel you’d be insane not to make a move. And just because he has me tossing out every single one of my rules doesn’t mean I’m in trouble, right?

“I’m everyone’s friend, but no one’s everything.” ~ Rebel

I love working for Ballsy Boys, but when you make the kind of videos I do relationships are pretty damn impossible. Besides, guys find me sexy and want to either be with me or be me, but no one has ever cared enough to see the real me.
Until I meet Troy. He has no problem whatsoever with my job, but he’s determined to keep me at a distance. For the first time, a hook-up alone is not enough. I want more with him. Hell, I want everything. But he resists at every step until I’m about ready to give up. What do I need to do to show him that this is real and worth fighting for?

***Rebel is the first book in the Ballsy Boys Series and is a super sexy MM romance with plenty of good times. While this book and this series do contain some instances of sex outside of the main relationships, they DO NOT contain cheating.

My Review: The life of a porn star is certainly not all glitz and glory. For Rebel, this life is lonely. For the most part he loves his job as a gay porn star. He especially loves the family they’ve created at Ballsy Boys, it’s not just a job. This lifestyle is not easy when it comes to having normal relationships. Rebel knows that all too well. He is reminded by this when he is faced with a break-up artist on his doorstep.

Being a break-up artist is what Troy does for a living. He does the dirty work at ending relationships for people who would rather not deal with the messiness of a break-up. This pays the bills and it’s helping Troy to pay for his degree in video game design. All his life, Troy has been pushed around from foster home to foster home. He’s never been able to depend on anyone, he’s the perpetual loner. His childhood has definitely shaped how he views the world. To put it lightly, he has commitment issues. This job is perfect for him and he’s a professional. That is until he’s faced with breaking up with his favorite pornstar. Troy is star struck and puzzled by who would want to break up with this walking demigod.

Rebel is a little disappointed to hear that his boyfriend wants to breakup. However, the blow is softened when Troy offers up himself on a silver platter. What is to be a one off hook-up blooms into a tentative friendship. Troy is very skittish and hesitant at first to call upon Rebel for help, but has no choice when a break-up job goes south. Rebel is happy to see that Troy considers him a friend. That’s the first time he sees Troy’s apartment. It is clear that Troy is a little uncomfortable, but Rebel works his magic and soothes Troy with some serious TLC ( touching, lusting and caressing).

Things continue to get hot and heavy between these two sexy lovers. Rebel invites Troy to go to his parents anniversary. For the first time Troy sees the beauty of family life. Rebel’s family is warm, accepting and very open about everything , especially Rebel’s porn career. This family leaves Troy yearning for things he gave up on when he was really young and innocent. Rebel is also yearning for that sweetness he gets a glimpse of hidden behind Troy’s sad eyes. Even though they agreed to keep things casual, Rebel is ready to place a label on their relationship. Rebel wants to be the one that Troy can depend on, he wants a future with him.

Rebel starts setting things in place so that they can have a future. First order of business for him is to take a step back from doing porn. Even though Troy has never said he has a problem with Rebel’s career, he decides to look into the creative side of the porn business instead. He talks to his boss Bear who is very excited to work with Rebel in that capacity.

When he shares his news, Troy is not as elated. Troy’s first reaction is to panic. He is upset that Rebel has changed the rules of the game. Fear is certainly guiding Troy’s path. He is afraid of not being good enough, most of all he fears rejection if Rebel finds him lacking. Deep down inside, Rebel knows this is the problem. He knows he is going to have to prove to Troy that things can work . After a week of radio silence from Troy, Rebel decides to lure him in with video sexting. Troy shows up on his doorstep within minutes and passionately attacks his sex god. Their passion culminates into cosmic orgasms, after which they talk about feelings. Troy is still running scared, but now its out in the open, Rebel is falling for him. He is anxious at the possibility of change, but if he is honest with himself he knows he’s already in love with Rebel.

Troy knows that he needs to take a chance on love. He makes a grand gesture by going to one of Rebel’s award shows. He makes his declaration of love and Rebel is ecstatic that his man has come this far. They know it’s not going be an easy road , but they are both ready to see what their forever looks like. For once in his life, Troy sees someone who is dependable and will love him unconditionally. I give this my ratings of 4- lose the underwear.
