Blurb:The thing about Fate is…she doesn’t care about rules.
Recent college graduate, Cord Smith expected to graduate, find a six figure salary, and move to the city. Instead he discovers his degree might look pretty on the wall, but it isn’t helping him get out of his low end job. Add to that his growing concern that he might be losing it as the voice he thought was his conscience as a small child has grown to be more on the forefront; he’s a mess. Growing up in foster care means he’s in this on his own—or so he thinks. It isn’t until he shifts unexpectedly that he discovers the truth—he’s a wolf.
Greycoast Pack Alpha Byrom is doing the best he can to keep his pack together, but as a young Alpha and an unmated Alpha at that, he faces struggles both within his pack and with those surrounding him; packs that long for their land. When his pack finds a rogue on their land, he knows what he has to do—put the shifter down. Anything less will only show his weakness.
But what is an Alpha to do when the rogue he is to put down isn’t a rogue at all, but a latent shifter coming into his own, a shifter his wolf is clamouring to claim as his own?

Finding His Pack is a sweet with knotty heat M/M Mpreg Shifter Romance by the popular writing team of Jena Wade and Lorelei M. Hart. It features an Alpha who is learning his role, an omega just discovering who he is, a pack struggling to come together after the loss of their beloved Alpha, power hungry rivals, and an adorable baby or two. If you love your shifters hawt, your omegas strong, and your mpreg with heart, one-click Finding His Pack today.
Finding his Pack was originally released as a much shorter novella. Finding his Pack is now 40,000 words of shifter goodness. If you have purchased the original, please contact the authors with your order number and they will be happy to hook you up.

My Review: Byrom has always known his destiny in the Greycoast pack. He has been trained from birth to take over the alpha role, while his younger twin brother Lyle has been trained to be his Beta. When an unforseen accident with a tractor trailer kills his Alpha and Omega fathers and most of the elders, Byrom is thrust into his new role as Alpha. Dealing with his grief and stepping into his new role is certainly not easy. When his territory is invaded by an unfamiliar wolf, Byrom is forced to make a decision.  Their laws dictates that any unfamiliar,  unclaimed wolf should be killed. Byrom thinks these laws are archaic and he knows he can never hurt the little wolf. He feels an intense connection with him that can only mean one thing. He has finally  found his mate.

Cord Smith has been drowning in insurmountable debt and he’s just trying to stay afloat. When he unexpectedly turns into a wolf on a hiking trek in the woods, he is scared and confused. He is terrified when he is surrounded by a pack of wolves. When they turn into human , he feels a connection to the one they call Alpha.  There is just something about Alpha Byrom that screams safe. Cord has a lot to learn about his new world and Byrom takes him under his protection and decides to teach him.

As Cord learns a little more each day about his new life, he embraces it. Things start falling in place and both Byrom and Cord grow closer each day. Things really start heating up between these two, but every time they have an intimate moment Cord backs off a little. Byrom tries to give him the time he needs as he knows becoming the Alpha Omega can be a very daunting experience. Even though he’s a natural with the pups in the pack and he is accepted by most of the adults, Cord constantly doubts himself. He holds on to the insecurities from being a foster child who never felt like he was good enough.

In his fear of the unknown Cord clings to his human side, to the point where he does not fully embrace his wolf. Not trusting his wolf becomes detrimental to his wellbeing. When he is kidnapped by Byrom’s enemy Rance and faced with death, Cord realizes how  much he truly felt at home with his wolf pack. He now understands the vital role the Alpha Omega plays in pack life especially with him realizing that he  is carrying the future heir. More than anything,  Cord wants to protect his pup and be able to follow his true destiny by living his life with Alpha Byrom.Byrom rushes to the rescue when he senses his mate in danger.  He is followed by his Betas and saves his mate. Along the way he also forges allies with the neighboring Northbay pack.

After his harrowing experience Cord embraces his mating wholeheartedly not wanting to wait another second. The Alpha pair fall into a seemless pattern working together and taking care of the pack. Growing his family becomes Cord’s greatest joy. When he finally holds his son in his arms with Byrom by his side, he knows he is finally home. I give this my ratings of 4- lose the underwear.

Rebirth of his Omega( The Outcast Chronicles 4) by Christa Crown & Harper B. Cole

Title: Rebirth of his Omega Word Count:155 pgs
Genre: Paranormal Gay Romance/ Mpreg

Blurb:Fire is death.

Ryan lost his family to a fire when he was young, and its haunted him ever since, especially while chasing the arsonist who has been kidnapping gifted shifter kids. Now that they’ve captured the man and his phoenix accomplice and rescued the kids, Ryan thinks maybe life will be able to get back to normal…

But when the phoenix, a creature born of fire, turns out to be Ryan’s true mate, life becomes suddenly even more complicated.

Fire is life.

Phoenix is horrified when his memories return to him and he realizes the pain and suffering he has caused in his new life. His true mate wants nothing to do with him, but he’s determined to hold on to his mate no matter what. He’s never lost his chance with him in any other life, he’s certainly not going to start now.

Rebirth of His Omega is a 38k word novella featuring a lion with a fear of fire and the phoenix who has loved him for many lifetimes. It is the fourth book in the Outcast Chronicles, and it is recommended to read them in order for maximum enjoyment. This book contains mpreg, knotting, and too many kids for our lion to handle. Trigger warning for past infertility.

My Review: The story continues with the phoenix and Ryan the lion who loves to cook for the pack. At first, no one was sure what happened to the Phoenix after the dragon burnt the ancients and releases Wamp, the coyote shifter who caused so much destruction. The Phoenix returns to his senses with jumbled fragmented pictures. Putting those pictures together creates a really morbid consciousness for him. The Phoenix is a true Ancient and he has been reborn countless amount of times. He has lived many lifetimes, but he is shattered by what he has allowed himself to become through loneliness and the lies of a demented man. The man Wamp who he looked to as his master has used him to cause unspeakable destruction. Once his consciousness is fused together, the Phoenix is reconciling to all the damage he has done.

This is how Ryan finds him and his lion pounces. Ryan would love nothing more than to destroy the vulnerable looking man he sees before him. However, there is an unexplained tether that draws them together. Before he knows what’s happening, he’s balls deep in the Phoenix who already recognizes Ryan as his fated mate, a man who he’s known as his, throughout his many lifetimes. Ryan is surrounded by this fog of lust and comes to when they are rudely interrupted by Ryan’s pack alpha Asher. It is disconcerting for Ryan to see his mating mark on their enemy the Phoenix. He is disgusted when he thinks he is mated to a monster.

Their mating is certainly a convoluted mess. It is going to take a lot for everyone to see the Phoenix as someone other than the fire demon they have come to see him as. When Casper the seer reveals that the Phoenix is already pregnant with Ryan’s cub, it makes the situation even more difficult. Even though it is not fully sorted out in his mind, Ryan’s lion has already acknowledged the Phoenix as his mate and is ready to treat him as such. As a pack, they have even more responsibilities now that they have freed so many kids from under Wamp’s control. They all have to learn how to work with Phoenix. The burden is on Phoenix to prove that he is no longer a danger to the pack.

Phoenix who has had problems with infertility in his past lives is adamant that he is not pregnant. Ryan believes in what Caspar the seer has seen. As much as Phoenix would love to be connected to Ryan through a child, he just cannot believe that he is pregnant and give himself false hope. The pregnancy causes a barrier for the two of them, because every time Ryan mentions it, Phoenix shuts down. This is a very painful issue for Phoenix and the weight of his sadness is almost crushing. It soon becomes clear that all cannot be forgiven or forgotten. Ben comes face to face for the first time with Phoenix. All Ben sees is the man who killed his former mate in a fire and the kidnapper of his son Liam. Ben tries to attack and Phoenix flees.

There is definitely a dichotomy between Phoenix’s two personas in everyone’s mind, especially Ryan’s. On one hand , he is the Phoenix who brings death and destruction. On the other hand, the person that shines through right now is Phoenix, his vulnerable, saddened mate who is hurting by the circumstances of his nature. Caspar encourages Ryan to give Phoenix some space. Ryan wars with his lion, but he knows he needs to think. It is at this moment that Ryan realizes that he has gotten to know Phoenix’s true nature and he holds no ill-intent towards the pack. Ryan also sees the error of his ways, he tries so hard to push Phoenix away. How can he expect his own pack to embrace Phoenix if he ,Ryan the man has not fully embraced his own mate, only the lion has. He knows now what is in his destiny, to be one with his mate.

It has not been an easy road for these too. They will have to learn to navigate this new lifetime together. There is one thing that is sure, the spark between them will ignite a flame that will certainly burn forevermore. Their problems are far from over, but they will stand as one united front against all the dangers that they will face as a pack. When the kids are kidnapped again by one of their own, many answers are revealed. Ryan dies but is soon reborn by the power of the Phoenix’s tears.Ryan and Phoenix are now immortal.

Another Ancient is awakened, a dragon named Ryeth who uses pack member Simon as a conduit to communicate. Ryeth/ Simon sheds light on the war they will be facing and the true powers of the phoenix. Ryeth plays a big part as he is the only one able to deliver Phoenix’s twins since he is engulfed in flames during the process. Ryan and Phoenix are Both ecstatic to meet their twins Cassia and Michael. I really enjoyed this one and I give this my ratings of 4- lose the underwear.

When Kurt is injured saving Ben’s life, Ben realizes how isolated he’d made himself, and how much he’d come to care for Kurt without even realizing it. Healing For His Mate is a 36k word novella featuring a dangerous arsonist building an army of powerful children, a hawk who can’t fly, a mountain lion who doesn’t know what it feels like to be loved, and the found family of the Outcasts Pack. Books in The Outcasts Chronicles

1. Freedom For His Omega
2. Acceptance For His Omega
3. Healing For His Omega

My Review: Nobody knows grief more than Benjamin. After losing his alpha in a fire where they were all involved. He also realized that his seven year old son has been kidnapped by a coyote shifter determined on causing havoc. A pack filled with wildly different shifters come to his rescue. Although they are a newly formed pack , they offer him refuge for himself and young son. Benjamin is grateful, but he doesn’t quite fit in with the other omegas who have recently given birth and are super happy with their alphas. His heart shatters when the pack midwife Meredith who is more a seer informs him that he is pregnant. Unlike the times before he cannot rejoice in this pregnancy. All he can think about is how his alpha will never see their children grow up, and one of those children are still missing. Ben feels broken.

Ben connects with the quiet cat shifter of the group Kurt. Even in a diverse group such as theirs, Kurt is still considered a loner. It is Kurt who gives him comfort without words. They use their bodies in the most elemental way. Ben is saddened that all he has to offer is sex, but he makes it clear to Kurt that he doesn’t want be knotted or mated. Kurt is the only one who makes him feel something other than despair. They continue on for months finding release in each other’s bodies. Ben is the only one who hasn’t realized that he has bonded with Kurt. It isn’t until Kurt gets hurt and is burned by a phoenix that Ben acknowledges their connection as more. It takes almost a full week for Kurt to heal. By then Ben knows what needs to be done. Kurt is the only man that can heal is fractured heart and Ben is now ready to be whole again as a mated pair.

Kurt never dreamed that he would ever have a family. He is grateful to have Ben who has opened him up to the possibilities. Kurt is aware of the responsibilities of this ready-made family. Not only will he be a mate to Ben, he is now a father to all of Ben’s children. This definitely makes finding their missing son even more of a priority. The pack gains more knowledge by working with Meredith’s people who are all like ancient witches. Their progress is great and they are able to find the coyote shifter Emerson Wamp and all the children he has kidnapped including the Phoenix. The children all have powers and it is not easy to get them away from Wamp who has filled their heads with lies. A battle ensues and the pack is victorious for the time being.

They free quite a number of children under Wamp’s control. Kurt brings home Ben’s son unarmed and he is just in time to meet his new child. Due to the stress, Ben has gone into early labour. Ben is elated to have his son Liam back . Both Kurt and Ben welcome their beautiful daughter Hailey into the world. The journey is definitely not over for this pack. Wamp has been released by a dragon who killed all the Ancients who came to help in the process. I give this my ratings of 4 – lose the underwear.

Omega Lost (The Rogue Pack 7) by Samantha Cayto

Title: Omega Lost Word Count:246 pgs
Genre: Paranormal Gay Romance/ Mpreg

Blurb:Bard didn’t hesitate to run from his old pack when his best friend needed him. His feral years were hard and even a tough gamma would rather live in a pack—so long as it is a good one led by an honorable alpha. The Rogue Pack proves to be the perfect new home for him to make his life. The only thing he lacks is a mate, and he has fought his attraction to the exquisite omega, Loki, for a while. When he is charged with Loki’s care, he is both elated and frustrated. He doubts the brat will ever see him as anything other than a captor.

Loki doesn’t understand why his brother forced him to leave their birth pack. No one who knows the answer is willing to tell him. That includes Bard, the annoyingly bossy and always right gamma who has dominion over him. Thwarted from returning to his arctic home, Loki takes his misery out on Bard in the form of bratty behavior. The sad thing is that he wants nothing more than to be happily mated and raising a family with a virile male like Bard. He simply can’t let go of his resentment toward those who keep him essentially a prisoner in the Rogue Pack.

The test of wills between Bard and Loki is coming to a head. Loki is no longer a pup. He’s becoming a mature omega and his heat is imminent. Bard will do anything to keep the boy safe, but when Loki refuses to be bred, Bard faces a terrible decision. The course he chooses may forever doom his growing love for the omega.

My Review: Ever since Loki has joined the pack with the ferals, he has always been viewed in a slightly negative light. At first, he was seen as a spoiled pup who has been overindulged by his brother Destin and the two Gammas Carr and Bard. As he flounders into adulthood, he is seen as a promiscuous, somewhat selfish, standoffish Omega. He is always seen as shirking his Omega duties and nature. He is always getting into some kind of trouble and running away from his protectors Gammas Carr and now Bard. Loki is aware of how he is viewed and it hurts him deeply, but he hides it through his defiance. There is an undercurrent of vulnerability that comes through in his unguarded moments. Loki feels cheated and he misses his home in the Arctic. He doesn’t understand why he was forced to flee with his brother in the dead of night.

The answer to that is held by the men who have been protecting him. They’ve all made a pact to keep this secret from Loki. Bard has started questioning this decision and slowly seeing the error of their ways. Bard has been with Loki since he was a pup. Unlike the others, watching the Omega grow into adulthood has fostered different feelings within him. Bard desires Loki and his wolf craves him to distraction. Above all else, he cares for Loki and would give him anything possible in his power. Now that Loki’s heat is imminent a decision has to be made quick or the Omega will die. Loki is in severe pain and his cries have put some of the other members of the pack in distress. It has forced Reed into early labour and Daniel is bristling with anger out of fear for his mate and unborn pup. Tensions are definitely high amongst the dominants.

Bard will mount and breed the Omega with or without his consent, he cannot watch Loki die. He knows it comes with a high price, Loki will certainly hate him once the deed is done. To him, this is the only recourse. He is in a really hard spot, no pun intended. On one hand he begs for Loki’s forgiveness for what he is about to do. On the other hand , his Gamma wolf is riding him doggedly, pushing him to take and breed his Omega finally. He tries to be as gentle as possible, but with Loki fighting diligently, it’s a slippery slope. Bard resists mating Loki as he knows this is a lifelong bond that cannot be broken. As much as he is willing to knot Loki to save his life ,he is unwilling to take away all of his choices. Even as strenuously as Loki fought, he can’t help but see the gentle caring that Bard gives him when his heat abates. Loki’s heat ends successfully in a pregnancy.

Most of Loki’s resentment stems from the fact that he is always kept in the dark. He feels like no one ever includes him in any decision making, it’s frustrating. He has no agency whatsoever and to him that’s the worst. He decides to step up and change things when the Omegas mention that the dominants are building a home so they can all live together. Loki storms out to Bard and lets his displeasure be heard about not being included in the plans. Bard apologizes for his lack of foresight, but Loki’s brother Destin doesn’t see why he is upset. Loki is learning how to navigate the pack as an adult and he is surprised when Bard defends him and seems to understand his position. The lines of communication are now open between Bard and Loki and they speak freely about what their feelings are towards each other. Bard now knows after talking to Loki that he doesn’t hate him, he just resented his high handed ways. Bard no longer feels totally hopeless about their future together when Loki asks him for time to sort out his feelings.

Loki’s reputation of a spoiled brat will be hard to evade, unless he proves himself. He courts danger unknowingly when they go on a moonlight pack run. Loki gets separated from the group and is charged by a black bear. Bard and another Beta Griffin comes to his rescue, but they are both hurt. Griffin is severely injured and unconscious and this causes a few people to be furious with Loki when they think he willfully ran away. Loki’s brother Destin is very upset and harsh words are exchanged between the two. The powder keg of emotions that they have been sitting on finally explodes. Loki goads Destin into revealing the secrets he has tried to protect him from since they ran from their pack. Loki is appalled and shattered to find out that his own father planned to rape and breed him in order to sire an alpha pup. Loki is even more upset and guilty when he thinks of all that he put Bard through, a Gamma who has sacrificed so much to protect him. He is overwhelmed with his newfound knowledge, but he thanks his brother for his sacrifice.

Loki is exhausted with the rollercoaster his feelings have been on. Finally, he acknowledges that Bard is the only mate he wants. He sees all of the sacrifices that Bard has made for him and his wellbeing. Loki is definitely on the road to adulthood and he is ditching all his brattiness. Until Bard lets it slip , that he likes a bit of bratty with his omega. These two are certainly in it for the long haul, it was a long road and a lot of uphill battles, but true love won the day. I give this my ratings of 4- lose the underwear.

Omega on the Loose ( The Rogue Pack 6) by Samantha Cayto

Title: Omega on the Loose Word Count:195 pgs
Genre: Paranormal Gay Romance/ Mpreg

Blurb:For a shifter, and an omega at that, Reed has never fit into pack life. Popping out pups and keeping house for a bossy male isn’t in his plans. He dreams of exploring a wider world and experiencing all the interesting things that humans have devised. Too bad his sire has other ideas, and Reed’s wishful thinking turns into a desperate bid for freedom. When a foreign beta picks him up on the road, he fears his future is doomed.
Daniel is the rare shifter who has transitioned out of pack life and into the hustle and bustle of human society. His carefully crafted life was already turned upside down once by rescuing an abused omega. Now he’s racing to save Reed from a similar fate. Pure luck, or maybe the will of the Gods, have brought him to the boy before his sire sells him off to the highest bidder. His only problem is in convincing Reed to trust him.
Time is not on Daniel’s side and when Reed’s pack catches up with them, there is only one option on the table. He can only hope that the omega forgives him for taking it. When duty turns unexpectedly into desire, he sets about wooing the pretty boy. Mistrustful and defiant, Reed resists until Daniel’s plan of seduction proves too tempting. But there is a secret between them and revealing it could doom their growing affection.

My Review: Reed has always hated every aspect of his omega nature. Watching his mother being at his father’s beck and call, her only purpose being to breed more pups year after year. Seeing his older Omega brother Ben traded to a Gamma for an old beat up barely running truck. Reed knows it’s his turn and his fate is no different. He has been promised to another pack’s Gamma Clayton for a truck as well. Clayton is cruel and has promised untold horrors of the mated bed. Reed decides to run away and take his chances in the human world.

Ben has been worried about his younger Omega brother for some time. After hearing the story of how Ben left his pack and ended up in the city, Daniel, the Beta who saved Ben decides to alleviate some of his mental stress. Daniel volunteers to find Ben’s brother and bring him to the Rogue Pack. When Daniel sees an Omega walking at a brisk pace trying to leave pack lands, he immediately knows that it’s Reed. Reed doesn’t trust the stranger who offers him a ride, but he knows the possible pain of rejecting a Beta’s offer. The Beta Daniel seems somehow different than the members of his pack, but he knows he can’t trust in that.

It is when Daniel mentions Ben and starts reassuring Reed that he is ok, that Reed feels a ray of hope. That hope is soon squashed when his pack catches up to them within the night. Desperate times calls for drastic measures, Reed offers up his virginity to the Beta, hoping that the pack will no longer want him. Daniel understands that this is their only way out, just a tiny problem, they have only minutes to get the deed done. Daniel mounts Reed and breaches him dry, he feels bad for hurting the poor Omega , but there is no time for finesse. Reed’s alpha father breaks down the door and he’s furious at what he sees.

Daniel has to put on a facade and act like he doesn’t care about the Omega in order to strike a bargain with the avaricious alpha. Daniel is not a typical Beta who is embroiled in pack life. He enjoys his freedom and has assimilated to the creature comforts of the human world. He uses his street smarts to strike a deal. He offers the alpha the internet as a way of bringing his pack into the 21st century. Most packs live a very basic life and the alpha sees this as a way of feeling like a bigshot alpha over other dominants. The alpha accepts , but decides to keep them on a tight leash.

Daniel understands that this pack is way different from his birth pack or the Rogue pack. Omegas have no rights here and are treated as merely slaves. Outdated traditions stands firm and punishment is meted out for the slightest infractions. Having run away, Reed is sentenced by his father to be whipped. As much as he hates to see this, Daniel knows the only way is to placate the alpha and try to control the situation by handling the punishment himself. Reed is used to being whipped and he can obviously tell the difference, he realizes that the Beta is pulling up on the down stroke to lessen the impact of the blows. Reed makes it look good , caterwauling for the dominants’ masochistic voyeurism.

Daniel soothes the Omega in the privacy of their quarters. He knows their only chance is to keep up the facade of him being an almost cruel Beta. The men in this pack equates strength and dominance to cruelty and brutality. To show any kindness to an Omega is akin to weakness. Reed senses the kindness within the Beta and it confuses him. He is constantly at war with his nature. He finds himself wanting to please the Beta and this sticks in his craw as it goes against everything he believes in. Another thing that puzzles Reed is his body’s reactions to Daniel giving him pleasure. He comes from a world where Omegas are there for the dominants’ taking and receive nothing in return. Their road is definitely not an easy one , but by the time they leave pack lands , they’ve formed a modicum of trust.

On the way to the Rogue Pack , Daniel allows Reed the pleasures of the human world. Reed gets to experience the ocean and eating in restaurants. It’s all he has ever imagined, but Daniel remains firm that it’s certainly not a place for an Omega. Daniel’s view on pack life has not changed, it is not for him and he just can’t see an Omega living outside of a pack. He feels a pull towards Reed, but he knows the Omega is not for him. Reed still doesn’t want a mate, but he wishes he could enjoy this new world with Daniel and this new sense of freedom.

Even though the Rogue Pack is different in so many ways and its foundation is steeped in love. Reed feels encumbered by pack life as soon as he steps foot on their land. Keeping Reed away from Lorcan the virile Rogue Pack Alpha is paramount to holding off Reed’s heat. Daniel is worried that it will be similar to Ben’s. Speaking of Ben, Reed is very happy to see his brother again, but that happiness comes crashing down soon. Reed has only just found out that Daniel also serviced his brother during his heat. He feels hurt and betrayed that his Beta has been with his brother sexually. Insecurities rare its head and Reed worries that he was only second best after all.

Finally, Daniel knows it’s time to step up and own his feelings to allay the fears up his Omega. He professes his love for Reed and encourages him to be honest about what he wants. Reed also knows it’s time to start acting like an adult and like a forward thinking human. Reed tells him how much he loves him and would like to be not only his mate, but also his husband in the human tradition. They come up with a plan to get through Reed’s heat which is fast approaching , then they can set out to live their lives in the city. Luckily, it’s winter time and Reed uses his jackets to hide his ever growing baby bump. He is happy exploring his newfound freedom with a husband who allows him to be the Omega he was always meant to be. They keep in touch with the Rogue Pack with the technology that Daniel has provided for them. Reed is overjoyed when he receives a picture message of Ben’s newborn baby who turns out to be a white wolf like Carr. This goes a long way in strengthening the bond between Carr ,Ben, Daniel and now Reed. Reed is certainly happy that his husband is not the father of his brother’s baby and looks forward to having his own pup soon. I give this my ratings of 4- lose the underwear.

Omega in the Middle ( The Rogue Pack 5) by Samantha Cayto

Title: Omega in the Middle Word Count: 176 pgs
Genre: Paranormal Gay Romance/ Mpreg

Blurb: Sold by his sire, Ben is an abused omega forced to sell his body for money. His rescuer comes in the unlikely form of a beta living among humans by choice, and who has no intention of exploiting Ben. Now the beta has brought him to the Rogue Pack for adoption. While Ben is happy to be safely tucked within a protective pack, it means facing his destiny as a breeding shifter.

Daniel loves the life he’s carved out in the human world. He doesn’t want to go back to living in a pack, but recognizes that he has to take care of the vulnerable omega he’s rescued. The plan is to find the mysterious Rogue Pack that he’s heard of, leave Ben in their capable hands, and return to his comfortable life. That was the plan, but something about the fetching Ben is causing him to drag his feet.

Carr is tired of living the life of a feral shifter. He followed his friends without hesitation into the wild, but now he has a chance to become part of a new pack. The arrival of a sweet and available omega gives him a reason for joining the Rogues for good. The only problem is the irritating beta who doesn’t seem inclined to give Carr a clear path to claiming Ben.

With everything he’s endured, Ben isn’t sure about taking a mate. Although he knows he can’t stop his heat, he’s determined to breed first and worry about mating later. Make that never. Except his nature has other ideas. His heat is coming fast and hard, not giving him the time to decide which of the two dominant shifters he wants to breed him.

Daniel, Carr and Ben are three shifters thrown together in a primal dance that’s designed for two. They are going to have to find a way to work together, or risk Ben’s very life.

My Review: Shifters prefer to ignore the trappings of human society for the most part. Daniel is very different in that respect. He is inundated in the human world where he owns his own small business and apartment. Being a Beta , he could have been on the council to his Alpha father’s pack. However, he has chosen to give it all up and make his own way. He is surprised when he stumbles on an Omega being abused by a Gamma in the city one night. The scene paints a clear picture and his wolf lets him know that they are not mated. Daniel comes to the rescue of Ben the Omega and takes him home with him.

Ben is an Omega who has been taught that his worth is in spreading his legs for a more dominant shifter. He was traded to the Gamma for an old truck by his Alpha father. All he has known in his life so far is abuse and neglect. He is scared to be going home with this strong Beta and he doesn’t expect much better from this new situation. Ben is shocked when Daniel offers him the use of his shower and makes him dinner. After eating his fill, he awaits the terrifying experience that he thinks will come. He is baffled when the Beta doesn’t demand payment in the form of his body. Ben is poised on a knife’s edge even into the next day.

Daniel is certainly not blind and he is even enticed by the Omega’s body. However, he resists temptation as he knows he is not willing to change his living situation. He does his research and finds a viable pack he believes will work for the Omega. He is pleasantly surprised to see that the Rogue pack actually exists. Daniel is received by a force to be reckoned with in the form of a Gamma who is chasing a wayward Omega. Being the saviour that he is , Daniel faces off with Carr , the Gamma who he believes to be torturing an Omega. He is soon set straight by an even more formidable force Alpha Lorcan.

Daniel and Ben are welcomed in the pack when the Alpha realized that Daniel was only protecting the mischievous Omega Loki even though he doesn’t know him. Alpha Lorcan respects that and suspects that Daniel is an upstanding Beta. The Omegas welcome Ben with open arms while Daniel and Alpha Lorcan discuss how to take care of Ben’s upcoming heat. It soon becomes clear that Carr would be a very willing volunteer in mounting the sweet Omega. There is something about the Omega Ben that makes Carr want to shrug off the last of his feral status and embrace pack life. Daniel and Carr are definitely combative towards each other especially when they both realize they are vying for the same position of breeding Ben. Ben enjoys being fawned over by these two virile men who shows him how much they care at every opportunity.

There is certainly a conundrum here: (1) Daniel is interested, but he knows he can’t withstand the trappings of pack life (2) Carr is even more interested, but he is not yet a part of the pack (3) the biggest problem of all is Ben, he has been used and abused and never been afforded agency over his own body. He knows for sure he doesn’t want a mate, but his heat is fast approaching and it’s inevitable. He needs to be mounted and bred or he could die, that’s the curse of the Omega. When his heat hits, Carr and Daniel are left with the decision of what to do for the desperate Omega. They find themselves working together as a unit with only one goal in mind, being there for Ben and taking care of his every need. They both realize at the same time that Ben’s heat is somehow abnormal as he is in pain and craving more than the normal Omega. Desperate times call for desperate measures, it takes both of them to satisfy the needy Omega in an unconventional three way. It takes days for Ben’s heat to end in pregnancy. They are not sure who is the sire of the unborn pup, but they all agree that the important thing is that both Ben and the pup will be well loved.

When trouble comes knocking, all the dominants step up to fight the rival pack. Even the Omegas get in on the action. They’ve won this battle, but Carr is severely injured. Daniel helps out with a blood transfusion and prays that the Gamma will recover. Its at that moment that the Beta realize that they have a bond forged in taking care of their Omega. Also, it is that moment that Ben comes to the realization that he can’t live without Carr and he now wished that they were mated. He loves them both, but he knows his heart only belongs to Carr. Daniel wakes up first only to hear Ben’s declaration of love for Carr. Daniel assures Ben that he is not hurt and only wants what’s best for the Omega.

Finally, Carr is awake and healing nicely. He is ecstatic when the Omega professes his love and the need to be mated. There is a small niggling doubt though that he might be second best, only because Daniel is going back to the city. Carr’s fear is laid to rest when they come together in their mated bed. The way the Omega responds to him and craves his touch could hardly be faked. Ben is ready to be possessed by this dominant shifter. Their bond is certainly unique ad in the background of their minds they can both sense Daniel due to the blood transfusion. The Omega’s tears flow freely when Daniel goes back home, but he knows he is only a phone call away. Moreover, he has the undying love of his Gamma Carr who has promised to love and cherish him. I give this my ratings of 4- lose the underwear.

Taming the Omega ( The Rogue Pack 4) by Samantha Cayto

Title: Taming the Omega Word Count: 158 pgs
Genre: Paranormal Gay Romance/ Mpreg

Blurb:New Rogue Pack gamma Caleb has finally found a decent alpha to follow and a group of shifters he is proud to protect. Having seen how losing his mother during whelping shattered his sire, he is determined to live his life only in service to others. He has no intention of giving his heart to a mate and pups. But his life is turned upside down when he spies a feral omega running loose on the pack lands.

Seth is a desperate omega struggling to survive. Puphood in his old pack taught him that his destiny was miserable servitude to whatever higher-ranking shifter ultimately claimed him. Running away seemed the better choice, except omegas are not meant to live on their own. A year of aimless wandering has left his life hanging by a thread.

Fate throws Caleb and Seth together. While they both try to cling to the lives they have embraced, they are about to learn that sometimes your path is chosen for you. Time is running out, and an old enemy may alter their futures forever.

My Review: Caleb is the newest gamma in the Rogue Pack. Gammas as are known for their strength and aggression. They are usual big and most are defenders and fighters of their pack. Caleb has been recently recruited from a Canadian Pack and he is ready to prove his worth and loyalty to satisfy his probationary period in his new pack. Caleb is loving his new pack and in his short time he has come to respect his Alpha Lorcan. Lorcan is a very virile, dominant male, but he is fair and doesn’t feel the need to throw his dominance around. Overall, this new pack of cast off shifters is very relaxed.

It is while patrolling their borders that Caleb first sets eye on an Omega. The Omega seems very scrawny and almost feral. It is clear that this Omega has been on his own for sometime and unprotected. Before Caleb can get too close, the Omega becomes spooked and runs off into a rivaling pack territory. Going into Haldon’s territory is something Caleb can’t afford to risk. He gives up the chase and goes home. He is still troubled about the Omega and mentions it to the alpha. Alpha Lorcan gives Caleb permission to find the Omega and bring him back to their pack. Lorcan believes that Omegas are very valuable and he can’t resist protecting one in need.

When Caleb finds the Omega he is injured after having had a run in with some of Haldon’s Gammas. The Omega Seth is very wary of the Gamma who introduces himself as Caleb, but he can’t resist the command in the Gamma’s voice. However, it is clear that although Caleb is dominant , he is not cruel. Caleb does his best to nurse him back to health and feeds him. Caleb is shocked when he wakes up to a warm wet mouth pleasuring him and it doesn’t take long to finish him off. Caleb is torn, because as much as the act was pleasurable, he doesn’t want Seth to feel pressured to repay him in this way. Caleb outlines this to Seth who finds this contrary to the experience he had in his old pack where being an Omega meant being used and abused.

After a few days of healing, Caleb speaks to Seth about heading back to the pack.Seth is hesitant and given his experience which Caleb suspects has been harsh, he gently coax him. When Seth meets alpha Lorcan for the first time, he is genuinely terrified. This has Caleb’s wolf baring his teeth, preparing to protect his Omega at all cost.Caleb is confused at the feelings this Omega evokes as he is not looking for a mate. Caleb has issues with mating and having pups since he saw how distraught his father became after losing his mate, Caleb’s mother. Seth is still unsure about settling with this pack, even though they have been nothing but kind to him. The decision is soon taken out of his hands when trouble comes knocking.

The rival pack comes demanding restitution from Alpha Lorcan for the breach in their territory. The Alpha assumes responsibility for Seth and pays them with goods. Seth feels horrible that this pack is paying for his mistake. Seth knows he can’t leave now as he feels indebted to the pack. After having weighed the pros and cons , he decides it is definitely not a bad idea. He is tired of running and he knows he can’t survive on his own. One of the cons is that he knows being around such a virile Alpha will bring on his heat. When Omegas are in heat, they turn into mindless beings until the time they become impregnated. Seth decides to control this eventuality, by requesting Caleb’s stud service in advance. The idea leaves Caleb very much on board and aroused, but he thinks of the future knowing he will not be able to just ‘hit it and quit it’ with this Omega. Caleb offers the solution of becoming Seth’s mate instead and Seth humbly accepts.

They are both thrown into Seth’s heat and the intensity of the cravings take over. Seth is mindless and can’t seem to get enough of Caleb. Caleb does his best to take care of his Omega and is victorious when Seth’s heat ends suddenly with a pregnancy. Seth comes out from the fog of his heat with ambivalent feelings. He is grateful to the Gamma, his mate, but he also feels cheated by his Omega body. He is incensed at his body’s natural betrayal and feels like there is a yoke around his neck being mated. Caleb realizes that his mate needs some space, but he is confident that being mated took care of all their problems.

Duty calls and Caleb has to leave for awhile to recruit some feral shifters from Canada. He leaves his mate in good hands and set off on his journey to increase the pack numbers. Surprisingly, Caleb finds himself missing his Omega mate and can’t wait to get back to him to solidify the budding romance. It takes longer than Caleb expects to gain the group’s trust- a Beta, two Gammas and an Omega. Caleb has to act fast when he hears his Omega’s distress call through their bond. He acts fast, knowing he needs to get back to his mate. He gets the Ferals to go home with him and is greeted by Seth who is happy to see him, but clearly in poor health. Seth almost had a miscarriage and has been put on bed rest. This scares Caleb into acknowledging the love he feels for his mate.

They both realize how much they mean to each other. Even though they have been apart, they are ready to embrace what they are feeling and strengthen their mate bond. Not only has Caleb proven himself as a mate, he has gained additions to the pack in the form of the feral shifters. I give this my ratings of 4- lose the underwear.

Claiming His Fate(Scarlet Mountain Pack 4) by Aspen Grey

Title: Claiming His Fate            Word Count:142 pgs
Genre: Paranormal Gay Romance, Mpreg

Blurb:The scent to change lives…

Seth is a hardworking alpha member of the Scarlet Mountain Pack, felling trees and turning them into lumber for the lodge. He’s content with his pack, but there’s something missing in his life — a mate. One day, on what should be another average run to the mill with a fresh load of pine, Seth smells something that turns his world upside down.

Harry is living life as a prisoner, an omega slave to his cold-blooded pack leader, Kade, who rules over a pack of captive omegas forced to work, or worse, bare his children. Once they provide him with a pup, he’s done with them, and with Harry’s heat approaching, he knows he’s next.

Seth almost loses it when he smells Harry’s scent and instantly knows he is his fated mate, but Kade isn’t about to let him go without a fight. Seth tracks Harry to a truck stop and saves him from the horrible future he was certainly facing.

Back at the lodge, love drunk off each other’s bodies and scents, the two realize they are meant for one another. Fueled by desire, Harry’s heat arrives like a speeding train, sending Seth into a frenzy. The only thing on his mind? Put a baby in Harry’s belly and bind him to him forever.

But Kade’s pack is still out there, with a pack of captive omega slaves, and Seth can’t let that continue. He saved Harry, but the rest are still prisoners. Rallying his pack, Seth sets out for the truck stop, but when he arrives, Kade’s pack is gone.

Is the vicious alpha still out there? Tracking them? Hunting for Harry? And will Seth be able to save him a second time?…

Claiming His Fate is the fourth in the Scarlet Mountain Pack series, but can be read as a stand alone. NO cheating, no cliffhangers, and all the sweet, sexy MPREG goodness you’ve come to love from Aspen Grey.

My Review: Seth, one of the alphas at the Scarlet Mountain Pack has just finished dropping off lumber at the Woodcreek mill when he smells the most enticing scent. He turns just in time to see the most beautiful, innocent omega there is. From the look on his face, he knows the omega scents him too. The only problem, the omega Harry seems to be under guard. Seth is not quite sure what’s going on , but it’s definitely suspicious. This is made obvious when he is immediately rebuffed as he approaches the guard to ask him about the omega. Seth knows he needs to bide his time and decides to follow them home. He finds out that a despicable alpha named Kade is in charge.

Seth knows his fated mate is in danger when he sees the hovel he is taken to. It is a truck stop that is infested by drunks, addiction and sex workers. He knows he can’t leave him in this place. Help comes from an unexpected place, a guy named Matias , a disgruntled alpha of Kade’s helps them to escape. The only reason Matias stays is to protect all the other helpless omega’s Kade has imprisoned.

Once Seth has Harry safe at the lodge, their ardor for each other is all encompassing. They are in a frenzy, but Seth sees his mate’s innocence shining through. Harry knows he’s a virgin but he can’t get enough of his sexy alpha. There is a fire raging in him that makes him want to be slutty for his alpha. Seth loves it, he sees how perfect Harry is for him. For the first time since his parents died, Harry knows he’s finally found his home with his alpha.

As happy as they both are, Seth knows he can’t just live blissfully while the imprisoned omega’s suffer. Seth talks to alpha Tate and they decide to scout the truck stop. By the time they get there Seth realize they are too late. They’ve all absconded in the middle of the night. It is disappointing, but life continues on as usual. Harry finds out he is pregnant and even though he is ecstatic, he has debilitating morning sickness.

Their past comes back to haunt them in the middle of the night when the despicable alpha Kade shows up in their territory. Seth can’t wait to tear him to pieces, especially when he sees that Kade’s wolfs are hesitant to fight. Seth gets a little reckless and is almost killed. It is only when he hears his mate encouraging him through his bond that he finds the strength to bring about Kade’s demise. However , he is seriously hurt but he is conscious enough to hold his mate’s hand while he delivers a beautiful baby boy named Graham. The Scarlet Mountain Pack is definitely growing by leaps and bounds. They are always there to help each other to protect their loved ones and bring them home safely. They’ve also gained allies in Matias who is now the successor of Kade’s pack. I give this my ratings of 4- lose the underwear.

Claiming His Love (Scarlet Mountain Pack 2) by Aspen Grey

Title: Claiming His Love Word Count: 152pgs
Genre: Paranormal Gay Romance, Mpreg

Blurb:Before the Love Knot, before the Scarlet Mountain Pack…

Alpha, Bryce’s job at the lumber mill is hard and routine, but when a new omega shows up for work, his scent leaves Bryce helpless and he knows he’s found his one.

Clarence is taking his first job at the mill to learn about wood and become a carpenter like his fathers. He’s ready for the hard work, but he isn’t ready for Bryce.

Bryce knows what that scent means — it means he’s just met his fated mate! But there’s a major problem: Jeremiah, his cruel, sadistic pack leader, wants Clarence for himself. He’s going to take him back to “The Booty Wing” of his motel to be used as just another captive breeder to provide him with pups. But Bryce isn’t about to sit back and watch that happen.

With a decision that will change his life forever, Bryce revolts, attacks Jeremiah and escapes with Clarence on the back of his bike. They spend an unforgettable night together, but when Bryce wakes up in the morning, Clarence is gone without a trace.

Three years later, and Bryce is living at the Scarlet Mountain Pack lodge with his new pack leader Tate, when he catches a scent…a familiar scent…one that he hasn’t smelled in three years, and it’s going to change everything.

Claiming His Love is the second book in the Scarlet Mountain Pack series, and can be read as a stand alone but is more rewarding as part of a series.

Filled with spicy, knotting, MPREG bliss, no cheating and no cliffhanger, this book is extra spicy! Be careful your Kindles don’t set on fire.

My Review:From the moment Bryce sees the shy omega walking in the mess hall at the mill where he works he knows it’s his fated mate. From the look on the omega’s face, he feels the same pull. There is just one problem, Bryce’s arrogant alpha Jeremiah wants to claim Clarence as a brood mare. Bryce tries not to openly show any emotion toward the omega, because he knows his alpha will use it against him somehow.

Clarence is only at the mill to learn about wood so that he can one day take over his father’s furniture business. He is certainly not expecting to smell his fated mate as soon as he walks through the door. Alpha Jeremiah also poses another problem, it is obvious he thinks he is entitled to any omega he lays eyes on. Clarence knows he is in true danger when Jeremiah and a couple betas kidnap him after work. Bryce knows he needs to come up with a plan to rescue his mate. When he notices the betas leaving Jeremiah’s room, he knows he has to act fast. He attacks and kills the betas and before the alpha even knows what’s happening, he is flat on his back with an enraged wolf on top. Bryce incapacitates him and flees with his mate on his bike.

Bryce finds them a safe haven staying with his friend Martin. Clarence feels like he can finally breathe and enjoy being in the presence of his fated mate. The passion ignites between the two men and carries them down a road filled with lust. Bryce knows that his innocent omega has not experienced his heat, so he finds other ways to explore his body while leaving his innocence intact. Little did they know that they would only have one passion filled night, before Clarence vanished into thin air.

It would be three long years of heartache, pain and hard living before they are reunited. In that time, Bryce has met new people that have become lifelong friends. Tate is one of those people, the alpha of the Scarlet Mountain pack founded on Bryce’s insistence. They are truly growing as a pack and have done well for themselves protecting each other. In the meantime, Clarence has been living like a slave under Jeremiah who blackmailed him into leaving Bryce. Jeremiah uses the threat of killing Clarence’s parents to keep him in line. The only good thing is that since smelling his mate, Clarence can’t experience his heat with anyone else. That is the only thing that saves him from being sexually abused by Jeremiah. It doesn’t stop the violence however.

It is purely on a whim that Bryce is able to find his mate again. When two of the foxes Red and Kitchi inform Bryce that there is a wolf pack on the edge of their territory, they decide to check it out. Bryce is incensed to see the much hated alpha Jeremiah again, but it’s his mate’s scent that bowls him over. He is overjoyed , but also filled with rage. He unleashes on a few of the betas quickly killing them. Bryce only injures Jeremiah, but he realizes that the place will be overrun if he doesn’t take his mate away. They barely make it out alive.

Once they are safe back at the pack house Bryce explains the situation to his alpha Tate. Tate understands and supports his decision to get back his mate. When they are alone, the connection between them sparks. The feelings are unadulterated and primal and causes the dominance to explode from Bryce. He knows he is a little bit rough and tries to temper it, but Clarence gives himself over to that primordial instinct that Bryce shows of needing to mark his mate. Clarence relishes the power of Bryce’s untamed passion. They make the most of the night, because they know their troubles are far from over.

They strategize the next day and come up with a plan to strike first. Bryce acknowledges he needs to eliminate the threat of the other alpha. It is not made easy, especially since he has to take Clarence back to sway a few of the alphas to their side. Everything starts off as planned, but when a group of betas target Tate and he is seriously injured, it all devolves. It is sheer determination and the fear for Clarence that keeps Bryce fighting. In the end he kills Jeremiah, but he doesn’t walk away unscathed. He has been shot in the stomach.

It is touch and go there for a bit at the Scarlet Mountain Pack, with two of their main alphas down. It is weeks before they recover. Clarence stays by his mate’s side and try to coerce him back to the land of the living through their bond. Finally, Bryce comes back to him and Clarence can give him the good news that he is pregnant. Bryce is over the moon when he hears this. The Scarlet Mountain Pack is definitely filling up with two new alphas and a new baby on the way which turns out to be a boy named Bruce. I give this my ratings of 4- lose the underwear.

Claiming His Mate (Scarlet Mountain Pack 1) by Aspen Grey

Title: Claiming His Mate Word Count: 154 pgs
Genre: Paranormal Gay Romance, Mpreg

Blurb:Alpha, Tate Hunter’s job as a bouncer at the shifter-only night club, The Love Knot, is pretty routine – tossing out drunks, breaking up fights – but when he saves an omega from a hungry pack of alphas, he catches a scent that will change his life forever.

Kyle Crubbers is going nowhere – living at home in the room he grew up in, spending his nights alone, until his mom convinces him to leave the house to search for a mate. But seriously? The Love Knot? That’s not where you find Mr. Right – it’s where you find Mr. Right Now!

Tate can’t believe it when he catches the scent of his fated mate, but to his horror, the beautiful boy is being attacked by an alpha named Lucas and his pack of sickos, looking to bump fuzzies with the nubile omega whether he wants it or not. Leaping into action, Tate saves the poor guy from whatever horrors they had planned for him.

Taking him to his lodge, Tate tends to Kyle’s wounds, and the two know without a doubt that they’re meant for one another. Tate is determined to claim his mate and put a pup in his belly, but it’s not long before they realize the other pack is still out there – and they’re hunting for Kyle.

It’s time for Tate to step up and be the alpha leader he’s meant to be. But will he be able to form a new pack in time to stop Lucas and protect his new omega?

…The scent of a fated mate…It’s a one in a million miracle most wolves never experience, and he will do anything to make sure Kyle is his forever.

Claiming His Mate is the first in the Scarlet Mountain Pack series, with no cheating, no cliffhangers, and all the spicy, knotting, MPREG goodness to melt your Kindle screens. Don’t say we didn’t warn you…;)

My Review: Tate’s job as a bouncer at the Love Knot is usually just a show of dominance where certain other alphas like to show off. Tate’s very good at reining in his wolf most times. However, when he smells the sweet smell of an omega who is exuding fear and realize that it’s his mate, Tate loses it. Kyle’s night on the town turns into a nightmare before it has really begun, when an alpha and his betas try to kidnap him. He starts to scream when he realizes he’s in real trouble. When alpha Tate comes to his rescue, he knows he is faced with his mate, a dream come true. Tate quickly kills the two betas, but the despicable alpha Lucas gets away.

Tate is eager to take his mate home so he can recover from the failed kidnapping. Kyle is excited when he first sees his new home. Tate talks about his dead parents and the legacy they left for him. He talks about how his father envisioned a big pack like home that could be a safe haven. Kyle loves to see his alpha’s passion and knows he wants to make that vision come true by being the best mate possible. Tate can’t wait to bond with his mate , but Kyle hasn’t had his first heat yet or lost his innocence.

Their vision starts to come alive when Tate’s friends Bryce and Martin comes by to see how they fared after the attack. Bryce proposes that they form their own pack and that Tate become their pack alpha. Tate is excited, but knows he needs to talk to his mate first. Kyle is just as excited and encourages his alpha knowing what a great leader he will be. Before they know it , their pack has grown in size with the newest additions being Kyle’s mom and Bryce’s sister. The pack house is coming together nicely and everyone is settling in.

Finally, Kyle’s heat hits and Tate is overcome with the need to be buried inside his omega. Kyle can’t wait for Tate to be his first and only. Tate introduces his sweet innocent mate to the unexplored passions of the mated bed. It is enlightening and all consuming for them both. There is nothing like the bond between mates. The next morning it is through that bond that Kyle knows that there is trouble on the horizon when he wakes to an empty bed. Tate, Bryce and Martin has gone out to deal with the troublesome alpha Lucas who is infringing on their territory. It soon turns into a bloodbath. Tate kills another beta, but Martin his friend is seriously injured. They are afraid they will lose him when a small group of foxes jump in and offer medical help.

Tate and the foxes alpha Red make a pact to fuse both packs together to fight against Lucas who is a thorn in their sides as well. Tate sees how much their medical training will come in handy when Kyle announces his pregnancy. Everyone is ecstatic about their news and life continues as usual. They all live communally, even the foxes and it is clear that both packs have mutual respect for each other.

The next attack couldn’t have come at a worst time, Kyle is in labour. Tate takes the time to reassure his omega that he will come back to him safely. They have a heartfelt parting, but Tate needs to face impending danger so he can protect his precious omega and their pup. Kyle is worried, but he knows he has to do his part in delivering their pup into the world with the help of Osana, the fox medic.

Tate and his pack emerge victorious from battle , but definitely not unscathed. They have lost one of the foxes Ethan and Bryce is injured. Tate goes back just in time to entreat his omega into pushing their bundle of joy into the world. They name her Scarlet in honour of Ethan’s red hair. They are all saddened by their loss, but they see great things in store for the future of the Scarlet Mountain Pack. I give this my ratings of 4- lose the underwear.
